The Samsung Galaxy Young will touch down in the UK this weekend offering up a range of colours, mediocre specs and a price tag which will appeal to the pocket money earners out there.
Announced alongside the Galaxy Fame ahead of MWC in February, the Galaxy Young will be sliding it at the bottom end of Samsung's smartphone line up.
The Young is the natural successor to the Samsung Galaxy Y that used to prop up the Korean firm's smartphone offering, with the "Y" unsurprisingly standing for young.
Price is right
It offers up a 3.27-inch display, 1GHz single-core processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (plus a microSD slot), 3MP rear camera, 1300mAh battery and runs Android Jelly Bean.
While the Galaxy Young's features may not entice the spotty-faced teens its price might, as you'll be able to pick it up for free on contracts starting at £9.50 per month, or £89.99 on PAYG.
You can also get the Galaxy Young up in some fascinating shades such as "metallic silver" and "wine red".
The Samsung Galaxy Young does have some stiff competition at the low-end of the market with the likes of the Huawei Ascend G330, ZTE Blade 3 and Nokia Lumia 520 all vying for position, so can it stand out enough?
