It seems HTC's naming department has outdone itself, with the likely name for the firm's quad-core flagship handset set to be the HTC One X when launched at MWC 2012.
According to Pocket Now, which has apparently managed to put a finger into every single mobile-based pie in the world, the phone we knew as the HTC Endeavor / HTC Edge will now have the odd One X moniker.
A freelance worker for HTC has apparently already nabbed the name HTC-one-x.dk for a Danish project, lending credence to the possibility the new phone will take this name.
Oh, the fun of the fair
The rumoured specs have remained the same: the good ol' quad core 1.5GHz processor, the 1GB of RAM, a large 4.7-inch HD screen and an 8MP camera. Oh, and don't forget the new HTC Sense 4.0 either.
There could be one fly in the ointment – there's a web telephony client from Avaya called the One-X already, which sounds a little close to the same arena the HTC One X could play in… dear Lord, we hope there's not another infringement case.
Either way, we'll be keeping our eyes and ears open at MWC 2012, so if this name comes to pass, you'll know when we do.
