Samsung Galaxy S3 benchmarks reveal impressive power

Benchmark results for the Samsung Galaxy S3 have temporarily appeared on online, revealing the next-generation handset could be a real power-house.

Spotted on GLBenchmark, the results claim to show data for the Samsung GT-i9300, which is widely believed to be the model number for the Galaxy S3.

The results are now no-longer live, but a screenshot was nabbed and sent to PhoneArena with the results likely to make the competition a little nervous.

Samsung Galaxy S3 benchmark leak

Best in class

According to the leaked results, the Galaxy S3 beats other top handsets including the quad-core HTC One X and famous iPhone 4S in terms of processor power and graphical capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to pack a beefy quad-core processor along with an HD screen, decent camera, 4G connectivity and NFC technology.

According to a listing on Amazon.de, the Galaxy S3 may come with a 4.7-inch screen Super AMOLED display, 16GB of internal memory, microSD slot, 12MP camera and Android Ice Cream Sandwich, although as this listing has not been hastily removed we're not convinced this is official.

Earlier today we saw an extended teaser video for Samsung's Unpacked event in London on May 3, where we expect the Galaxy S3 to be announced.

TechRadar will be reporting live from the event to bring you all the news, but it the mean time take a look at our Samsung Galaxy S3 release date, news and rumours article.
